United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley

Who We Are

United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley is proud to partner with community organizations to help deepen the impact of good work that is taking place in our community. We partner with community-based agencies, including those with a 501(c)3 nonprofit status, a public/not-for-profit school or government organization.

United Way is primarily known as a fundraising organization having an annual fundraising campaign in the fall/winter utilizing hundreds of volunteers, primarily soliciting in the workplace.  Community Investment volunteers then come together in the spring to review requests for funding and allocate funds to programs that are making a difference in people's lives.  In 2014-2015 26 agencies with more than 50 programs are receiving United Way Funding.  The 2013 United Way campaign raised in excess of $7 million.

The United Way Volunteer Center maintains the Get Connected website to promote volunteerism and connect individuals and groups with organizations with needs, whether they be in-kind needs or volunteer needs.  In addition, the Volunteer Center coordinates a Corporate Volunteer Program, matching corporate volunteer teams with agencies needing volunteers for a few hours or a full day project.
