In response to Christ and the Church, the mission of the Methodist Home is to be a model agency that restores childhoods, strengthens families and cultivates a people-building organization.
Today the Methodist Home is a multi-faceted residential care home providing a continuum of specialized treatment programs that address the needs of abused, neglected and abandoned children. The Methodist Home’s mission seeks to respond to Christ and the Church as we restore lost childhoods, strengthen families and cultivate a people-building organization. Since 1872, the Methodist Home has exemplified this mission and provided a safe haven and impacted the lives of more than 12,000 children from across the State of Georgia through our operations in Macon, Americus, Valdosta, St. Marys, Columbus, and Waverly Hall. The Methodist Home exists as a faith-based organization to provide at-risk youth the security, education and hope necessary to break the cycle of abuse and neglect and grow into contributing and productive adult members of society.
